Six months after writing that I was in a bit of a lunch rut, I’ve decided to make a significant change in my eating habits. I’m tired of the Wegmans Lite Wheat bread for my salami sandwiches and am ready to try something new. Perhaps I’ll go back to regular white bread or spice things up with non-light/lite wheat bread. I could go crazy and make rye bread a daily fixture of my diet, though I think of rye more for special occasions or eating only at a deli. Pumpernickel bread may blow my mind.
This may be the dumbest question I've ever had on my blog, but what type of bread do you like for your sandwiches?
Oh, you’ll be happy to know that I continue to eat Rold Gold pretzels, a banana and Dannon’s Light & Fit yogurt regularly for lunch.

I got tired of sandwiches all together so I don't take them for lunch anymore. Unfortunately I can't help you with your bread choices, but I will offer a few things I keep in rotation for lunch: turkey meatloaf with barbecue glaze, chicken and apple salad with walnuts and dried cranberries, and various soup options. I usually prep the meatloaf or salads on Sunday evening so I just have to grab and go during the week.
Why don't you try something other than salami?
Banana Nut and cottage cheese...
Where I love rye bread, it can be a bit odd with peanut butter and jelly. I standard artisan loaf (farmhouse, sourdough, etc.) usually works a treat.
This bread is very good:

I also like potato rolls.
Thanks for all of the suggestions/comments. I decided to go with regular wheat this week. While it's a bit of a step up, I'm not sure if it is a long-term solution.
