In two consecutive days this week, I received credit card applications from American Airlines, United, US Airways, AirTran and Delta. Apparently Northwest, JetBlue, Southwest and even Independence Air are waiting until next week. Is there a way to tell credit card companies that I am not interested in receiving applications? I have way too many credit cards as it is.

While you're at it, let Washington Mutual to stop sending me a new application every other day.
I'll see what I can do. I will also see if I can contact Citibank. I currently have not one, but two Citibank credit cards, yet they still send me new applications nearly every week.
You can "opt out" for two years - info at this link.

Many credit card companies get information about applicants from companies that post to your credit report. That is another place to start. Also call the companies and ask them to remove your name and ask how they received your name.
