Let's Get Political

Yes, I do this once in a while. Last Thursday, Congresswoman Jo Ann Davis of my state of Virginia introduced Bill Number H.RES.579 with the purpose to express "the sense of the House of Representatives that the symbols and traditions of Christmas should be protected." I wish I was making this up. Apparently, there was a lengthy discussion on the House floor about this bill, which passed overwhelmingly but with slightly different language (the line in quotes above was taken out).

You would think the House would have more important things to do like discuss Iraq, Social Security or health care.
