Zingers

Do you remember Zingers, this Dolly Madison Bakery product?

I seemed to have Zingers a lot as a kid (this was a regular post-soccer game treat), but I haven’t seen them in years. When visiting Denver last month, I had one Zinger cake (not the entire pack), and it was quite tasty. However, I was and remain confused about the nutritional information.

Serving size-3 cakes
Calories per serving = 440
Calories per cake = 150

Using my extraordinary math skills, if one cake equals 150 calories, how can 3 cakes equal 440 calories? Is this like a sale where you buy two items and get a reduced price on the third? Perhaps, Zingers believes that you are burning 10 calories by chewing, opening the wrapper and licking your fingers.

You should write Dolly Madison. I guarantee you are the only one who has EVER looked at the nutritional information.

Apparently you burn 10 calories by taking the second and third cakes out of the package.

Maybe they assume you'll get lazy by the 2nd or 3rd and not lick off the bits of cake that get stuck to the wax paper, as you SURELY would if you were only having one!

Lacochran - I'm too lazy to write Dolly Madison. Actually, I'm not that lazy, but I'm just not that interested.

Gilahi - It must take about an hour to remove the third cake out of the package to burn 10 calories.

Marc - Laziness. That must be it!
