Sean Goes To The Doctor
I had my annual physical earlier this week. This seemed like a bigger deal this year because I'm now 40. I thought that a colonoscopy was in my near future, but it turns out that I don't need one of those until I'm 50. Woo Hoo! The physical turned out to be no different than any other one with one exception: an EKG. I've never had an EKG before, but it's really quite easy. You lie down on the table and the physician's assistant puts stickers all over your body like this.
The difficult part is removing the stickers one the EKG is over, particularly when the stickers are attached to your chest hair. Oh, I also found two stickers by my ankles when I went to sleep 15 hours after the appointment.
Anyway, the EKG results were good. My blood pressure and heart rate were also good. My weight was down slightly, and I'm right at where I want to be. Unfortunately, I'm still in the 5' 7" height range, so my growth spurt still hasn't happened yet. Maybe next year!
Now the big stuff. My cholesterol results:
Good again! My cholesterol was significantly higher about 10 years ago, but I've been fine lately. Basically, I'm healthy as a horse. Well, presumably, a healthy horse. You don't want your health to be compared to a sick horse.
Based on all of these results, I think I was robbed by People Magazine. Forget David Beckham. I should be People's Sexiest Man Alive! I guess Beckham just has a better publicist.

Adam Levine Wearing Steelers Gear
Adam Levine is arguably one of the biggest stars and among the most recognizable people in the United States. He was People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive in 2013 and serves as one of the judges on NBC's The Voice. Oh, he also has a gig as the lead singer of a little band called Maroon 5. So why am I writing about Levine today? Here's your answer:
This is Levine with his friend Gene Hong, a graduate of North Allegheny High School. Hong is a co-producer on Bones and Community, but you're not really interested in this are you? (You can see Hong's IMDB page if you want to learn more about him.)
The story here is Adam Levine wearing a Steelers shirt. Woo!
Now let's see if Levine will watch a Steelers game with Pittsburgh native and People Magazine's 2014 Hottest Bachelor, Joe Manganiello.

Sofia Vergara: Steelers Fan?
You may know actress Sofia Vergara from "Modern Family," the funny but short lived "Knights of Prosperity" (originally titled Let's Rob Mick Jagger) or from her appearing in seemingly hundreds of commercials. You may now know the extremely attractive Vergara for being linked to the extremely attractive actor Joe Manganiello according to People magazine. While two extremely attractive actors dating is not uncommon, it has been well documented that Manganiello is a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
We can only hope that this relationship continues to blossom and that Sofia learns to love the Steelers through Joe.*
* We're all on a first-name basis now!

Salma Hayek Can't Like This
The beautiful and talented Salma Hayek has had an outstanding career. Hayek was nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for her performance in Frida, served as an Executive Producer for the successful television show Ugly Betty, and won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Directing in a Children/Youth/Family Special for Showtime's The Maldonado Miracle.* She was also great as a guest star on 30 Rock and probably deserved an Oscar or Nobel Prize for her work opposite Matthew Perry in Fools Rush In.
Not surprisingly, Hayek was featured on the beauty page of the recent People magazine.
If you're unable to read the title, People wrote "Pros Genevieve Herr and Renato Campora create a natural look for the Grown Ups 2 star." Based on the television commercials for this film, it appears to be true that Hayek does have a role in Grown Ups 2, though I'm not sure she would qualify as the star since the film seems to be about Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, David Spade and Kevin James. Regardless, after Hayek's outstanding career, I don't think she wants to see any sentence that contains her name and Grown Ups 2 in it, unless it is something like, "I can't believe Salma Hayek made $2 million for being in Grown Ups 2."
* Sadly, this movie does not appear to be about former major league baseball player Candy Maldonado, who I believe went for $27 in my fantasy baseball league in 1993.
