With Barry Manilow's Emmy win the other night, I had a conversation with some folks recently about who is the better musician: Manilow or Neil Diamond. Feel free to weigh in on this topic. I'll share my thoughts later this afternoon.
Neil Diamond's acting performance in "Saving Silverman" should not be considered in this discussion.

Neil Diamond, no contest.
In a landslide of 2-0 (including my vote), Neil Diamond is clearly a much better musician than Barry Manilow!
Late vote, but I go for Neil as well -- the Jeopardy! debacle involving Barry Manilow played a big part in the decision. Then I got haunted by ginormous pictures of Mr. Manilow throughout the Las Vegas Hilton, where he's got a show and a gift shop dedicated to him.
I think a Jeopardy! category of Neil Diamond songs would have been much better. I'm actually getting scared thiking about the types of Manilow memorabilia that people can buy. Although Manilow, the flame-thrower would be cool.
