It’s quite possible that this commercial has aired for months, but I only saw it recently.
I have so many thoughts on this commercial.
- First, why is the Kiss Cam guy or girl showing these two? They definitely don’t appear to be a couple.
- The Steelers fan is way out of the Pats fan’s league.
- Rob Gronkowski attended Woodland Hills during his senior year and is a WHHS graduate. Perhaps this Pats fan is really a Steelers fan but is friends or family of Gronk, so that’s why he’s wearing the #87 jersey. Therefore, the two really struck up a rapport before the Kiss Cam came along.
- Okay, that last point seems highly unlikely.
- There is no chance that the Patriots crowd would support this kiss. There would be many more jeers and boos than cheers.
- Smart move by Head & Shoulders by having the Steelers fan wear a JuJu Smith-Schuster jersey than an Antonio Brown one.
Thanks again to Head & Shoulders for providing me with blog content for nearly a decade. (And if you click on the link, you'll see that some of the posts are so old that the videos no longer work.

Joe Manganiello's Dream
Actor Joe Manganiello is a huge Steelers fan and (likely) a huge fan of his girlfriend, Sofia Vergara. Therefore, I figure this Head & Shoulders ad in the recent Sunday coupon section must be Manganiello's fantasy:
Vergara and Troy Polamalu together? Merry Christmas to Joe! Plus, Manganiello has luxurious hair so perhaps he can use the $3 coupon on the shampoo.

Troy and Elmo
Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher attended Sunday night's Steelers-Bears game in Pittsburgh which resulted in this awkward (at best) picture of Kunis and Steelers owner Dan Rooney.
While some of my favorite websites have criticized Kunis, perhaps Rooney was simply walking away from an actress who he feels is inferior to his distant relatives Kate and Rooney Mara.
Although Kunis & Kutcher's appearance at the game is worth noting, these celebrities are no match to the star power of the individual that recently spent time with Troy Polamalu: Elmo.
While we don't let my son watch much TV and he's probably only watched Sesame Street a few times, he loves Elmo. He's seen Elmo videos, has several Elmo books and sleeps with an Elmo stuffed animal. On Sunday, we listed to Elmo's Song over and over and over and over and over again. Well, until he reached the Mr. Snuffleupagus solo at which point my son simply said "again" to inform me that it was time to start the song over. I haven't showed him this video yet, but I think it will be a big hit.
Meanwhile, in the video, Troy's hair has a strawberry fragrance. To my knowledge, Head & Shoulders, who likely pays Polamalu tens of thousands of dollars (if not significantly more) for him to appear in their commercials, does not have a strawberry product. Is Troy cheating on Head & Shoulders? Will Head & Shoulders cut ties with their spokesman over this? Do I like asking questions to end blog posts?

Unrealistic Head & Shoulders Commercial
If you haven't seen the latest Troy Polamalu-Head & Shoulders commercial, take a look.
I don't have a problem with the guy "borrowing" Troy Polamalu and his hair. My issue is that it seems highly unlikely that a Steelers fan is going to be attracted to a guy still wearing a Tommy Maddox jersey!

Potential Steelers Locker Room Controversy (Shampoo vs. Body Wash)
The Pittsburgh Steelers selected Ohio State defensive end Cameron Heyward with their first round pick in the 2011 NFL draft on Thursday. Heyward is the son of the late Craig "Ironhead" Heyward, a former Pitt star and NFL running back. You may also know Ironhead from his Zest body wash commercials like this one.
Now that Cameron Heyward is an NFL player, will he follow in his father's footsteps and be a body wash pitch man? If so, think of the potential controversy in the Steelers' locker room. Troy Polamalu is currently the face, well the hair, of Head & Shoulders. Can a locker room survive with two players promoting separate shower products? Will the veterans side with Polamalu and Head & Shoulders while the rookies support their colleague and Zest? Do they even make Zest body wash anymore? This situation may be coach Mike Tomlin's biggest challenge next season and possibly for years to come.
In case you're wondering, Troy Polamalu took the first shot at the new Steeler on Twitter.
Sure, Troy Polamalu is being nice, but maybe he's just biding his time for a private moment with Heyward.

Troy Polamalu - Thespian
We've seen Troy Polamalu star in Coke Zero and Nike commercials over the past year or so. Now, Troy shows his acting range in this Head & Shoulders commercial:
There's a second Troy/H&S commercial that I think is better than this one, but I can't find it online. I'm sure that you'll see it once or twice during the football season.
