Happy Friday! Today, we have not one, not two, not four, but three videos for you! The first is the talented chorus at PS22 Elementary School in Staten Island teaming up with Ithacappella to perform OneRepublic's Counting Stars.



Next, your may remember Susie Meister of MTV's Road Rules and many of the Real World/Road Rules challenge shows. Did you also know that she's earning a doctorate in Religious Studies at the University of Pittsburgh? Meister was part of a recent “Yakkin’ With Ya Jagoff!” She's a Pittsburgh megastar!



I generally watch handball for about 20 minutes every four years during the summer Olympics. Well, I can now say that I watched handball during a non-Summer Olympics year. Can someone explain the physics of this shot? (h/t Deadspin)

If you’re a fan of Katy Perry, a cappella groups and/or elementary school choruses, the video below is for you. Even if these three things are not among your “Likes” on Facebook, this is still a cool video/song. Ithacappella, the all-male a cappella group at Ithaca College, joined forces with the PS22 Chorus, an elementary school chorus from Public School 22 in Graniteville, Staten Island along with former PS22 Chorus member Adiza, who is now a member of Ithaca College's all-female choir, Premium Blend. American Idol Controversy

I don't watch American Idol, so if you're looking for detailed commentary of who will win this season based on a brief audition, you'll have to go elsewhere. With that written, my pop culture sensibilities require that I have a familiarity with the show. Therefore, I am aware of Pants on the Ground and am particularly impressed with Ithacappella's version.



Thanks to non-stop airing of American Idol commercials during the NFL playoffs, I know the guest judges this season have included Victoria Beckham, Shania Twain & Avril Lavigne. Do you notice a common thread between these three musicians? They aren't American! Between Simon Cowell and the guest judge, the winner of American Idol is being determined by non-Americans. The British and Canadians have taken over the show! This may be worse than the Tea Tax! I demand that Fox gets rid of these foreigners. (Speaking of which, is Foreigner going to be a guest judge?) How can it be American Idol without Americans? Why is there not a revolution? At the very least, Fox should change the show's name. To show my displeasure with American Idol, I will continue my boycott of the show! Who's with me?


Keeping on the music theme, I am thinking about doing a live blog of the Grammys on Sunday night. My decision rests entirely on whether or not there are people interested in participating. I admit that I’m not as devoted of a Lost fan as most other followers, but the season finale on Wednesday was really, really good. Here’s a good recap of all things Lost. Please note that most of the theories are way above me.

Fourteen Ithaca College students of the a cappella group Ithacappella, some of them seniors skipping their own graduation ceremony, opened the set of an Incubus concert in LA. Here’s the article; here’s the YouTube video.

Roger Federer and Pete Sampras will meet in an exhibition match in Kuala Lumpur as part of Malaysia’s 50th anniversary of independence celebrations. I’m guessing that they will both receive nice paychecks. It would be an especially interesting match if the Pete Sampras of eight years ago could play today’s Federer.
