Glasses and young children can be a dangerous mix. I don't know what it is, but all of my kids have grabbed my glasses off of my face as infants or toddlers. I guess it's a fun toy that they can reach pretty easily. While I've been fortunate that they have never broken my glasses (though they have bent my frames), my brother and brother-in-law weren't so lucky with my nieces and nephews. In each case, they had to take their glasses to an eye doctor to repair them. But what if there's an easier way to fix them?

Sean's Ramblings Giveaway

We've had the same steak knives for as long as I can remember, so it's nice to have some brand new ones. I really like the colors too. Meanwhile, I'm probably the worst person to give any details about the Vremi coffee grinder since I don't drink coffee. That's outstanding!

My Good Deed Is Your Gain

I did a good thing today by donating blood. Fortunately, this was through a neighborhood blood drive administered by Inova Blood Donor Services and not some type of vampire blood drive. (By the way, if you search "vampire blood drive" in YouTube, you get the GEICO commercial and then a bunch of videos from something called "My Babysitter's a Vampire.")

Anyway, for giving blood, I received two tickets for the Wednesday, August 28th Washington Nationals game against the Florida Miami Marlins. I don't think the tickets are very good (section 409, row M), but they're free. The problem is that I'm not available to attend this 7:05 game. Therefore, I'm giving the tickets away as part of a Brand New Contest!

Essential Yinzer Giveaway

In the 8+ years of Sean's Ramblings, I don't think I've ever used the word "yinzer" before. (Checks archives; found that I wrote yinzer once in a pop vs. soda blog post).

Anyway, on March 5th (that's tomorrow), two Pittsburgh icons will meet for the first time on live TV: Pittsburgh Dad and Attorney Edgar Snyder. On this episode of “No Fee TV,” Attorney Snyder will speak with Curt Wootton of Pittsburgh Dad, to discuss life in Pittsburgh and the impact of social media.

The episode will air live in Pittsburgh on the Pittsburgh Cable News Channel (PCNC) on Tuesday, March 5th at 7:30pm and re-airs on Saturday, March 9th at 12:30pm on PCNC. Those who live outside the Pittsburgh region can watch the video after the show airs on the Edgar Snyder & Associates YouTube channel.
