So I totally missed the fact that there is a great deal on tickets to this year’s Celebrate Fairfax through today. Adult admission tickets for the June 5-7, 2009 festival are on sale at Celebrate Fairfax’s website for only $7. That’s right, $7! When was the last time you paid $7 to see a concert? Ticketmaster fees alone are generally much more than $7. For $7, you can see Blues Traveler on Friday, June 5th or Phil Vassar on Sunday, June 7th. You can also spend $7 to see the Old Skool All-Stars of Tone Loc, Naughty by Nature and Sugar Hill Gang plus The Fixx on Saturday, June 6th.*
Plus, there is much more to Celebrate Fairfax than just the headliners including dozens of local artists, nightly fireworks, 300+ exhibitors, vendors and crafters and an interactive SciTech Center.
If you happen to read this after today (Thursday, May 7), don’t worry. There are still discounted tickets available prior to the festival, just not as good as $7. The discounted tickets (I believe they are $9 for adults) are also available at the Wegmans in Fairfax.
* The Fixx is not part of the Old Skool All-Stars; they play in the afternoon while the all-stars perform at night. Actually, maybe these artists will meet at Celebrate Fairfax and form a new band called Naughty Sugar Fixx! (Tone Loc can serve as the manager.)
