Two Questions

It's the Monday after the Super Bowl and Groundhog Day, so I'll keep today's post short and simple.

1. At a major retail store recently, the cashier rang up three items of $5.50 each but didn't charge me for the fourth item even though he thought he did. Before telling you what I did, would you mention this oversight to the cashier?

2. This is a poll/question. If you have lived in the Washington DC area for more than five years, have you been interviewed by someone regarding a security clearance for a friend, neighbor, family member, co-worker, etc.?

    1) yes i would mention it... i try to avoid collecting any bad karma and .. i tend to have the catholic guilts about such things...mostly cause i have no guilts about my viscously abhorrent sexual escapades ;-)
*exception occurs when i think that the thought of them having to do math in thier head might cause an aneurism etc.. then i just walk away...

    2) yes... i have ...they are generally the most humorless people you'll ever encounter... to the point of being funny SNL skits

    xoxo

  4. 1. I probably wouldn't say anything, but mainly because I probably wouldn't notice right away anyways.

  5. 1. I have and would. I'm sure you did, too.

    2. Yes - and I agree with @suicide_blond I've *tried* to crack jokes with these folks and they are far from amused.

  7. 1. At a major retail store? I would probably say nothing. I have said something though when this happened to me at a small shop. I am nice to the small business owners I suppose.

    2. I am not in the DC area, but I have had two of these before. One was for a cousin and the other was for an employee. The employee one was kind of amusing. The agent was actually funny. He kept asking about the smiley cookies and if they were free for FBI agents.

    2. I'm not in the DC area but have friends who have applied for security clearance positions and I have been interviewed.

  9. For the first question, does your answer change if the major retail place recently had a security breach that may have impacted 100 million people? What if you were one of the people impacted?
