Welcome to the 2nd Annual Best Pittsburgh Sports Blog Tournament! This tournament is designed to highlight some of the best Pittsburgh sports blogs and bloggers. While the tournament is technically a competition, I hope that you'll consider this as something fun and a way to help pass the time since the Steelers season is over, the Penguins will be on the Olympic break and Spring Training for the Pirates is still a few weeks away. (At least we still have Pitt!)
Before we begin, I shared the ground rules to the BPSB Tournament last week. Please make sure you click on this link before you complain why certain blogs were not included. In addition, I do not have a definition of best. It's totally subjective. Now, please join Jim Nantz and me as we unveil the 2nd Annual BPSB Tournament bracket:
Despite writing a blog for over five years, I have few HTML or design skills. This is why the bracket looks like it was created in Word with no graphics. That's because it was created in Word with no graphics.
Voting for the first round begins now and runs through 5:00 PM Eastern time on Friday. While this may not be the most sophisticated voting software, I ask that you please vote only once per matchup. Again, this is supposed to be fun. If you want to campaign for a certain blog, please feel free to do so, but do not disparage or insult other blogs. The people who write these blogs spend hundreds of hours doing so and generally for little or no money.
With that, let's see who can join The PensBlog on becoming the Best Pittsburgh Sports Blog. Let the games begin!

COME ON BUCS DUGOUT!
ReplyDeleteNot sure how Bucs Dugout doesn't win this year in and year out. Smizik is getting rightfully destroyed, worst writer in America by a wide margin.
ReplyDeleteThis may be the stupidest thing I've ever seen in my life. How you can do something so dumb, and not even include one of the most popular blogs in Pittsburgh sports?
ReplyDeleteAnonymous #2 - I did something so dumb because I thought it would be fun and give some exposure to some great blogs. What blog am I missing?
ReplyDeletePensblog. I guess you have an axe to grind with them or something.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely not! I'm a huge fan of The PensBlog, and they won the first Pittsburgh Sports Blog Tournament last year. They weren't included this year because I wanted to give other blogs an opportunity to win. Otherwise, The PensBlog would win every year.
ReplyDelete(Click on the link just below the tournament logo and then see #5. I explained that they wouldn't be included in this year's tournament there.)
