Trivia Tuesday

This week's theme: science. (Yes, it's perfectly fine - and encouraged - to yell science just like the scientist in the Thomas Dolby song.) Your challenge is to name the country in which the famous scientists were born. Good luck!

1. Johannes Kepler and Albert Einstein

2. Joseph Lister and Steven Hawking

3. Leonardo da Vinci and Galileo Galilei

4. Alexander Graham Bell and Alexander Fleming

5. Nicolas Copernicus and Marie Curie

6. Niels Bohr and August Krogh

7. Louis Pasteur and Antoine Laurent Lavoisier

8. Sigmund Freud and Gregor Mendel

9. Edwin Hubble and Linus Pauling

10. Dmitri Mendeleev and Theodosius Dobzhansky

Please note that there are no repeats among this group. For example, if Albert Einstein and Johannes Kepler were born in Canada (they were not), none of the other answers would be Canada.

As always, please leave your answers in the comments section and do not use the internet to find the correct answer. In case you are wondering, we scored 7 out of 10.

  4. Note to self - Don't have a Trivia Tuesday with a science theme. At least lacochran likes the song!

Tiny350Z - Tell the folks at your meeting that you are right and they are wrong. Einstein was born in Germany.

Neena - 10 for 10. Amazing! You may have to join us for a future trivia night. Actually, maybe they will start having trivia nights at the Pour House!

  5. Awesome! You can give me my prize in the form of an invite to the White House event on Thursday!

I hear they're doing sports trivia at the Pour House on Tuesdays, maybe? Haven't been there much on non-playoff hockey nights, but maybe I'll check it out this summer.
