Concert Game

Here's how this works: Copy the list, leave in the bands you've seen perform live, delete the ones you haven't, and add new ones that you have seen until you reach 25. An asterisk means the previous person had it on their list. Two asterisks means the last two people who did this before you had that band on their list.

1. Dave Matthews Band*
2. Goo Goo Dolls
3. Counting Crows*
4. Billy Joel*

I got this idea and list from Beelog. As you can tell, I have not attended many concerts over the past few years.

  3. I will work on mine... I'm assuming this means I post it on my blog, and not in the comments here?

The problem: I'm not sure I've been to 25 concerts!! I'll really have to wrack my brain.

  4. Dan - Feel free to post your list here if you'd like.

I struggled to get to 25. Many of these bands I saw only because I worked for an organization that put on a large festival. Even then, I only saw part of the show.

  6. Thanks Jason. Sure, if you want to count classical concerts, go for it. Now that it's on your list, I remember seeing George Clinton at a festival in San Diego. The festival also had Corey Glover. I have no idea how I can remember his but not George Clinton and P-Funk.

  7. Marc - Here's the funny part about seeing Blue Oyster Cult. I did not see them perform Don't Fear The Reaper. However, 20 minutes earlier and 500 yards away on a different stage, Better Than Ezra played the song, getting a guy from the audience to play the cowbell.

Looking back, I think I've seen close to 70 show, because some of these on the list I've seen multiple times(Dave now 20 times). I've seen some really good concerts and as you can see from the list some really bad ones(luckily some of them were free.

  10. Thanks Paul. How was Kenny Rogers in concert?

Now that it's on your list, I now remember seeing the Beach Boys at Three Rivers Stadium.

I didn't see the whole thing, but not bad. It was a Christmas concert one year at Bonaventure and I was working for the arena. I helped set up/take down.
