Does anyone out there have a MySpace page? The reason I am asking is because I'm wondering if I should get my own. I'm already on Friendster, but I barely use it and don't even have my picture there. At 30, I'm probably outside of the MySpace demographic of high school and college students. I honestly don't want to put much work into it and it would probably be a pretty lame page, but that seems to be the place for all of cool kids. Any thoughts?
I have a MySpace profile mainly because the BBG girls I advise all have them. I really totally think I'm too old to get why MySpace is so cool. I get all sorts of weird friend requests from weird people and to be honest I think the website is not intuitive to navigate. I do like Friendster though.
ReplyDeleteI've got one, but I hardly use it. I've got a Friendster page that's used slightly more, but not a whole lot much more. With that said, it would've been cool to have this stuff in college. Now, I'm not so sure.
ReplyDeleteI dunno, I'm not friends with anyone under the age of 30 on my MySpace page -- but I've also put zero work into it. I basically have it as an extra way of contacting people for articles I'm writing. So, as a networking tool, I guess it has been pretty useful. I don't totally get it as a Friendster replacement, but if you want to be friends with Judas Priest, you're only going to get that on MySpace.
ReplyDeleteOf course, the only reason I bothered with the Friendster profile was a job I had supervising some college students. It really depends on the company you keep.
