Did anyone know this movie was coming out? I haven't seen any advertisements, articles, stories or heard about people who went to the first showing Thursday at midnight.

I've seen a few ads and a spot on the Today show but not the extreme amount of buzz I would expect.
Ummm...I had it on my calendar...knew about it for awhile...the trailers have been on TV and at the movies here in GA...maybe there is a cover-up conspiracy by you? : )
I was being somewhat sarcastic regarding the Harry Potter movie (that doesn't always convey well in writing), but I was actually expecting a lot more coverage about the movie than I saw and heard. You couldn't avoid Harry Potter when the 6th book came out, but the movie doesn't seem to be nearly as big. It's still big; just not huge.
Just went and saw the movie today--it was pretty good--predictably left out things, as the book was loooong. Didn't recognize Ralph Fiennes at first as Voldemort...
